LAS VEGAS—Comedian and actor Gary Owen will come to The Orleans Showroom on March 3-4.

Owen got his start performing stand-up comedy in Southern California, including a regular gig at The Comedy Story in Hollywood. In 1997, Owen auditioned for BET’s “Comic View,” which led to two appearances and later, his own one-hour “Grandstand” show.

In 2011, Owen was named “Black America’s Favorite White Comic” by Ebony magazine, and was invited to be one of the headlining comedians on STARZ’s “Martin Lawrence Presents: First Amendment Stand-Up.” He was last seen on the big screen in “Ride Along,” alongside Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. He also appeared in Steve Harvey’s romantic comedy series “Think Like A Man” and “Think Like A Man Too.” Most recently, he starred in his own reality show on BET, “The Gary Owen Show,” as well as starred in TruTV’s video and sketch comedy show, “Upload,” which he co-hosted with Shaquille O’Neal.

Owen’s performances include his one-hour Showtime special “True Story,” which is currently available on DVD and Netflix, as well as early specials “Breakin’ Out the Park” and “Urban Legend.”
