Enjoy DjangoVegas!, A Stage Combat Demonstration, Music Production Workshop

 

 

 

Musicians and aspiring musicians are invited to participate in the final class of the Ableton Workshop Thursday, June 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Historic Fifth Street School Conference Room, 401 S. Fourth St. Instructors will provide an in-depth lesson on music production tips and tricks, as well as provide unique approaches for music-making on Ableton Live, Max for Live and Push. The workshop is $10; attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops as computers will not be provided. Collin Bressie and teachers from The Society of American Fight Directors present “Play With Swords: A Stage Combat Celebration” Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Tickets are priced at $10 plus tax in advance, $15 plus tax at the door.  Learn about the ins and outs of stage combat as experts demonstrate and discuss multiple stage weapon styles and systems in an exciting, fast-paced production you won’t want to miss! Fourth St. The annual gypsy jazz festival celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and others in the genre. This year, the festival will feature The Django Festival All-Stars, the Biel Ballester Trio and The Hot Club of Las Vegas.
