Las Vegas Residents Invited To Celebrations, Luncheons & Activities At City Centers

 

 The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. Many of these activities contribute to wellness and a healthy lifestyle. A listing of classes and activities is published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available online at www.lasvegasparksandrec.com and in the centers. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require annual membership in city of Las Vegas Active Adult/Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult centers. Annual membership cost is $10.

 

 

 

Weiner Wednesdays (ages 50+)

 

Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Cost: $3, includes hot dog, chips and drink. Additional hot dog is $1.

Senior Table Tennis Tournament (ages 65+)
Saturday, June 3, sign-in 8 a.m.; open singles at 8:30 a.m.; ladies at noon; seniors at 1 p.m.
Cost: $20, includes gift bag, play and chance to win $25-$100 gift card or trophy.

Registration open May 1-31 for the open (ages 18+) singles, ladies singles and senior (65+) singles championships. This event will be played in round robins of 6 players. All players will be guaranteed 5 matches. All matches will be best 3 out of 5 games. The top 2 players in each round robin will advance to the final round robin. If you didn’t succeed and advance in your round robin, you can enter the Second Chance Double-Elimination Tournament. All Second Chance matches will be best 2 out of 3 games.
