Safekey S.T.E.A.M. Camp (ages 5-12)

 

Monday-Friday, through July 28, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. No camp July 4.

Tot Summer Day Camp (ages 4-5 who have not completed kindergarten)

This expanded program for teens will adventure all over Southern Nevada, from a float trip in

 

Black Canyon to Wet ‘n’ Wild, Game Works, indoor skydiving, Trapeze Las Vegas, and so much more.  Participants should dress each day for active outdoor experiences and bring lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, and be ready for fun. Call centers for details.


Counselor-in-Training Camp Program (ages 15+)

 

Monday-Friday, through Aug. 11, with no camp July 4.

 

Cost: $25/week.

 

Teens who are interested must submit an application at the center they wish to attend and participate in an interview in order to be selected. Day camp hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., except at East Las Vegas, which will be 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mirabelli and Veterans Memorial will offer specialty themed-week camps.

15th Annual Hoops for Hope (4th-8th grade)

 

Basketball Camp and Parent Workshop

This free event is for youth who have completed the 4th grade but not yet entered the 9th grade. The camp is designed to develop and empower youth to eat healthy and exercise daily. Participants will learn techniques and fundamentals of basketball and the importance of life skills. Each participant will receive a sports bottle, camp T-shirt, back pack and daily incentives, as well as training from community leaders, professional sports fitness trainers, NBA Point Guard CJ Watson and volunteer college and high school athletes as camp counselors. Safekey Fall 2017 Registration

Registration Fee: $20 per school year, per child.

 

Morning pass: $7 per morning.  Afternoon pass: $10 per afternoon.

This before- and after-school recreational enrichment program is offered at numerous Clark County School District elementary schools, and provides a safe environment where children in kindergarten through 5th grade can receive homework assistance, have a nutritious afternoon snack, create arts and crafts projects, play sports and games, and engage in other activities.
