Las Vegas Residents Invited To Celebrations, Luncheons & Activities At City Centers

 

 

 

The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. Many of these activities contribute to wellness and a healthy lifestyle. A listing of classes and activities is published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available online at www.lasvegasparksandrec.com and in the centers. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require annual membership in city of Las Vegas Active Adult/Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult centers. Annual membership cost is $10.

 

 

 

Weiner Wednesdays (ages 50+)

 

Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Cost: $3, includes hot dog, chips and drink. Additional hot dog is $1.

Whale Watching Trip (ages 12+)

Cost: $90 for active adult/senior members; $100 non-members ages 12+.

Enjoy the Seasons Buffet before touring the Silverton’s 117,000-gallon reef aquarium. You can admire thousands of tropical fish and three species each of stingrays and sharks in this display. The marine biologist at the hotel is equipped with a full-face communication mask and answers guests’ questions during the feeding show. In addition, the Mermaid Lounge features two 500-gallon jellyfish aquariums lit with LED lights.
