Free Celebration Downtown Offers Music, Dancing, Children’s Activities & Refreshments

 

 

 

Oktoberfest is returning to downtown Las Vegas Saturday, Oct. 7, 3 to 9 p.m., with live German music, dancing, traditional food, beers and children’s activities. The event is free and open to the public on Centennial Plaza at the Historic Fifth Street School, located at 401 S. Fourth St. Bring the family to enjoy entertainment by The Dummkopfs, the Alphorn Trio featuring master alphorn artist Tony Brazelton, and accordion virtuoso Hubert Gall, as well as dancing by the Las Vegas Bavarians.

 

 

 

Refreshments will be available for purchase. Feast on German potato pancakes, potato salad, sauerkraut, bratwurst, sausages, apple strudel, pretzels and a variety of beers.

 

 

 

Free parking will be available at the city parking garage directly across the street from the festival. Oktoberfest is presented by the city of Las Vegas in partnership with the German-American Social Club of Nevada.
