“We couldn’t be more delighted to bring MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET to Harrah’s Las Vegas,” says Rick Mazer, president of Harrah’s Las Vegas. “With a fascinating story about a little known, real ground-breaking event, and spectacular music performed live, this production is an exhilarating new show that our guests will love.”

The Tony® Award Winning musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll” who was responsible for launching the careers of each superstar, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll jam sessions in history.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny.  Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians. Showcased hit songs include: “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and more.

“MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is one of those shows that gets under your skin and leaves you euphoric,” says Producer Gigi Pritzker. “The idea of being a fly on the wall during this moment in music history with these great musical icons is a natural for Las Vegas. After hugely successful runs on Broadway, in Chicago and on tour, we are delighted to have found a wonderful, new home at Harrah’s Las Vegas.”

The Chicago production of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET opened in 2008 and is the longest running Broadway musical currently playing in Chicago, performing to packed houses at the Apollo Theatre.

When the Broadway production opened in April 2010, critics and audiences leapt to their feet in unanimous praise. The New York Times called the show, “a buoyant new musical that whips the crowd into a frenzy,” New York Magazine labeled it, “a dazzling raucous spectacle that sounds like a million bucks,” and NY1 called it, “90 minutes of platinum grade entertainment.”

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET won a Tony Award® for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical and received two Tony Award® nominations for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical. The show received an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical, a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Musical Revue and three Drama League nominations including Distinguished Production of a Musical and Distinguished Performance.

In Las Vegas, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is produced by Relevant Theatricals, John Cossette Productions, Northern Lights, Inc., Broadway Across America, and Base Entertainment.
