LAS VEGAS, NV - July 2, 2002 - A Boyd Gaming Downtown Las Vegas casino has again produced an instant millionaire.

A Hawaii resident, who asked not to be identified, had just arrived in Las Vegas via Vacations-Hawaii, checked in to the California Hotel & Casino, and then decided to Visit Main Street Station. The guest reportedly put just $2 in the slot machine, which netted $2,190,306.20.

The Boyd Downtown resorts have produced several big winners in recent months including a California woman who won $1.2 million on The Addams Family(TM) Reel at the Fremont Hotel and Casino, Hideko Sakamoto of Aiea, HI, who won $3,677,071.12 playing a 25-cent "Wheel of Fortune" game at the California Hotel & Casino, and David T. Tukunaga of Honolulu, who won a $2.5 million jackpot playing a $1 "Wheel of Fortune" slot machine at California Hotel & Casino.

In addition, Alex Aris of Ewa Beach, Hawaii won $1 playing Keno at the Fremont Hotel & Casino in June of 2001.
