Resort’s transformed lounge to offer indulgent sips from dawn until dusk

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 7, 2018) – From coffee brewing to cocktail toasting, Hazel Coffee | Cocktail at Mandalay Bay will offer a new experience for night owls and early birds alike. Arriving in early 2019, the social hub will welcome guests with live entertainment, craft cocktails and daily selections of specialty coffee and tea.

“Hazel will be a central gathering place at the resort,” said Mandalay Bay Vice President of Food and Beverage Emmanuel Cornet. “Whether looking for a cup of coffee in the morning or an evening venue for great music and cocktails with friends or colleagues, all guests will find what they seek at Hazel.”

Created by MGM Resorts International Executive Director of Beverage Craig Schoettler, Hazel’s cocktail menu will offer a juxtaposition of classic cocktails and modern variations. For traditionalists, the time-honored Manhattans, Old Fashioned, Martinis and beyond will be available, while more adventurous cocktail connoisseurs can choose a unique twist on a beloved favorite. In the evening, a selection of complementary bar snacks also will be available.

As part of the lounge’s morning coffee program, caffeine-lovers can fuel up with specialty espresso beverages made with LAMILL COFFEE, an award-winning, premium specialty coffee roaster headquartered out of Los Angeles. Using top-of-the-line espresso machines, espresso beverages will be as visually appealing as they are delicious with decorative latte art atop each for a personal touch. Guests interested in hearty options to complement their beverage may order from a curated menu of in-house breakfast and lunch offerings such as parfaits, sandwiches, salads and more.

Designed by Bishop Pass, Hazel will serve as the resort’s “living room” where guests can relax on gold lounge sofas, green velvet chairs or cobalt-blue Chesterfield banquettes. Bold jewel tones of deep blues, vibrant greens and chartreuse will brighten the space, while touches of brass, dark wood and antique mirrors provide an old-world European feel. Reminiscent of charming boutique hotel lobbies, a large marble-top bar with chestnut leather armrests will look onto a brass-shelved liquor display illuminated by matching brass fixtures.

Hazel Coffee | Cocktail will open in the resort’s former Orchid Lounge space, located near the hotel lobby, just off the casino floor.

Additional details on the concept will be made available in the coming months.
