LAS VEGAS – Sept. 23, 2010 – Officials at the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas announced today that Tony Marnell has been selected as the honoree at the Foundation’s 9th annual scholarship fundraising gala for his vision and commitment to the Las Vegas community and hospitality industry. The Epicurean Charitable Foundation will host the event poolside at the M Resort Spa Casino on Friday, October 8. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature world-class cuisine, fine wines and an exciting private concert will culminate the evening.

“For an evening dedicated to raising funds for education, we are pleased to present Tony Marnell with this honor,” said Kevin Dimond, President of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation. “He has been a leader not only in the hospitality industry which fuels our city but also within our community and has long been a supporter of the local education system.”

Tickets start at $500 per person with tables of 10 starting at $5,000. For donations in excess of $20,000, groups can be treated to a meal prepared by their own dedicated chef and receive private bar and wait service. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas’ scholarship program that supports Las Vegas area students in their pursuit of a career in the hospitality field. Each year, the Foundation awards a limited number of scholarships to students who exhibit great academic ability and personal dedication, but lack the financial means to achieve their goal. The scholarship includes coverage of all the scholarship recipient’s academic expenses as well as mentorship and guidance from members of the Foundation.
