    The city of Las Vegas will host its annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 10 p.m. at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, located at 720 Twin Lakes Drive in Lorenzi Park. This is a free family event.

     Residents are invited to dress in their best la catrina costumes to enjoy children’s activities, entertainment, displays, costumes, face painters, refreshments and vendors at the Nov. 2 festival. Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza offers lawn seating; bring your blankets and low chairs to be more comfortable.

     “Join me in Lorenzi Park for this annual free family festival,” said Ward 5 City Councilman Cedric Crear. “Come early for the best parking!”
